Buffalo football starts in 1960, when the Bills were born as a charter member of the American Football League. They won back-to-back AFL titles in 1964 and 1965 with Jack Kemp under centre, and when the AFL merged into the NFL they were already a franchise with silverware in the cabinet.
The run nobody has matched
Then came the 1990s. Behind Jim Kelly's no-huddle offence, Thurman Thomas in the backfield and a defence full of Pro Bowlers, Buffalo reached four consecutive Super Bowls - XXV, XXVI, XXVII and XXVIII. No team has since won four straight conference championships. The endings were brutal, and the fan base carried them anyway.
Bills Mafia
The other half of the story is the crowd. Bills Mafia travels, tailgates through lake-effect snow and turns Highmark Stadium into one of the loudest, coldest road trips in the league. When people talk about Buffalo, they are talking about a city showing up.
The Josh Allen era
Drafted seventh overall in 2018, Josh Allen grew into a perennial MVP candidate and ended Buffalo's AFC East drought. The current team is built around him, and the #17 jersey is now as common in western New York as the #12 used to be.
What to wear for it
- Josh Allen #17 jerseys - the current era
- Jim Kelly #12 jerseys - the no-huddle years
- Thurman Thomas #34 jerseys - 1991 NFL MVP
- Stefon Diggs #14 jerseys - the modern passing game
Every jersey in the collection is fully stitched: tackle-twill letters and numbers sewn on, embroidered crests, double-knit fabric built for a cold Sunday. Sizes run S to 3XL with custom 4XL and 5XL available, and shipping is free on US orders over $35.
