Braves History: From Boston to Milwaukee to Atlanta

The franchise traces its line back to 1871, which puts it among the oldest clubs in professional sports, and it has carried the same nickname through three home cities: Boston, Milwaukee from 1953, and Atlanta from 1966. Four World Series titles hang in the rafters - 1914, 1957, 1995 and 2021 - and between 1991 and 2005 the Braves won fourteen consecutive division titles, a run of sustained excellence with no real equivalent in the sport. Hank Aaron passed Babe Ruth's career home run record in an Atlanta uniform on April 8, 1974, and the club has called Truist Park home since 2017.
