Seattle has been an American League city since 1977, when the Mariners joined as an expansion club. The franchise waited until 1995 for its first postseason trip, then won 116 games in 2001 - still the highest single-season win total in American League history. The body is a breathable polyester mesh with stitched tackle-twill lettering and an embroidered crest. Machine wash it cold and inside out on a gentle cycle, then hang it to dry. Do not iron the twill, do not bleach it and keep it out of a hot dryer - treat the lettering the way you would a game-worn jersey and it will stay sharp for years.
