Collection: Tracy McGrady Jerseys | Stitched Orlando Magic NBA Gear

Tracy McGrady and the Orlando Magic #1

Tracy McGrady arrived in Orlando in 2000 and turned the next four seasons into one of the great individual runs in franchise history, earning All-NBA First Team honors in 2003 and 2004. The #1 he wore here is the one people picture when they picture Orlando basketball in the early 2000s.

This group collects the Magic jerseys built around his #1. Note that the current roster also has a #1 - filter by the name on the back, not just the number.

How to Check the Stitching Before You Buy

A jersey described as stitched should show three things. First, the edge of the number sits slightly proud of the mesh, because layered twill is thicker than the fabric under it. Second, the satin stitch that locks the twill down runs as a continuous line with even density; loose or skipped stitches are the first thing to go. Third, the nameplate is a separate strip sewn on as its own panel rather than printed onto the back, which is why it flexes with the shoulder instead of cracking across the middle.

Turn the garment inside out and the same work should be visible from behind: a clean backing over the twill, no loose thread tails, and no adhesive film. If the inside looks unfinished, the outside will not survive a season of washing.

Reading the Number Up Close

The numeral is built in layers: a base shape cut from twill, a contrasting outline stitched over its edge, then a fine satin run inside that outline. On a single digit the outline wraps four corners. On a double-digit number it also has to bridge the narrow gap where the two shapes meet, and that bridge is where the most hand work goes - a millimetre too tight and the fabric puckers, too loose and the gap shows daylight. That is the detail worth checking before you commit, and it is the reason a stitched number reads differently from a printed one at arm length.

Fit note: the cut is athletic, so the chest measurement matters more than the length. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one - the mesh does not stretch across the shoulders.

Sizing

Measure the chest at the fullest point, then match that number against the chart below. Sizes run from S through 2XL, and the cut is athletic rather than boxy, so a size up is the safer choice if you plan to layer a hoodie underneath.

Care

Turn the jersey inside out, wash cold on a gentle cycle, and skip the dryer. Heat is what breaks down the stitch tension and dulls the twill, so line dry it flat and iron only on the reverse, never directly on the lettering.

Shipping and Returns

You get free shipping on orders of 5 items or more; orders under 5 items ship for a flat $7. Every order ships with tracking. Unworn jerseys can be returned within the standard return window, and sizing exchanges carry no extra shipping cost.
